Always an animal lover, that dog mushing became Kate’s passion is no surprise. Kate began handling for a number of different kennels down  South before joining forces with Warren in 2004. Kate’s greatest contribution to the kennel is her dedication to the socialization of the dogs. Her aim is to give each dog as many tools as possible so that they can be successful wherever they live and work. She runs the young dogs, teaching them their manners and working on their self confidence before they join Warren and the main racing team.   While Kate enjoys racing, her main role is handling and training the puppies making sure that the dogs and all the Palfrey boys are all well taken  care of.
